The Arna Bontemps African American Museum announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, “Images of the Black Madonna,” April 5 - May 25, 2012. 

RULES & GUIDELINES:

 Open to all U.S. artists working in 2D and 3D media, including but not limited to drawing, painting, pastel, printmaking, photography, mixed media, and sculpture. 

-Submissions should focus on the continual theme, “Images of the Black Madonna.” 

-Artwork previously exhibited at the ABAAM is ineligible. 

-Artwork submitted must have been completed within the last (4) four years. 

-Individual and/or group submissions are limited to (3) three entries. 

-Artist must submit work(s) as a jpeg images: 1 mb and pixel width of 1800 is sufficient.

 -Artist must submit a brief bio, artist statement and a 250 word essay on chosen work. 

Deadline (images): Friday, March 2, 2012 at 5p.m. CST.
